Integrative Therapy and Counselling in Wandsworth and Online

Welcome, and thank you for visiting You Matter Therapy.

I believe what you have to say matters and I am here to listen, because let’s face it, it can be difficult to say what’s really going on for you. I understand that taking the first step to seek therapy/counselling can be daunting, and it's natural to feel uncertain or overwhelmed. Perhaps you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or simply feeling stuck in life.

Hi, I’m Rose, a BACP registered integrative therapist and counsellor, and I provide therapy and counselling for individual adults on a short or long term basis. We can explore the challenges you may be facing on the telephone, online, or in person from my practice in Wandsworth. I offer a compassionate, confidential and non-judgemental space for us to explore the issues you are facing together. Through therapy, you will develop greater self-awareness, understand why you feel the way you do, and learn how to make more positive choices in your life so you can achieve your goals and fulfil your potential.

Rose Warn Counsellor in Wandsworth

I work with people from a range of backgrounds and cultures who come to me with a wide variety of challenges they may be facing. I am fully insured, and as a BACP registered integrative therapist/counsellor, I abide by their code of ethics.

How can therapy help you?

Therapy can be incredibly helpful for you in many ways. It provides a confidential and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours with a trained therapist, who can offer insights, guidance and a fresh perspective. Through therapy, you can gain a better understanding of yourself, your relationships, and the challenges you are facing. You can learn new coping skills, develop healthier communication patterns, and work towards creating positive change in your life. By talking through your struggles and concerns with a therapist, you can feel less alone and more empowered to make the changes you desire. As your therapist, I am not here to fix you; I am here to listen with empathy and compassion, and to help you find your own answers from within.

About Me

I have worked in the City for many years and have vast experience of working with people from different backgrounds. I understand the internal and external pressures people can put on themselves, which can lead to unhelpful or damaging coping strategies. I work to identify healthier ways of managing emotions and stress.

I am a natural listener, but in my previous career I didn’t feel like I was using my natural abilities to help people. This led me to explore therapy as a way for me to provide support to people. From my own experience, friends and family may appear to listen, but often you don’t feel heard, and that is something that motivated me to retrain so you can feel heard, listened to and seen.

Alongside my practice, I volunteered with a Drug and Alcohol charity, becoming a keyworker and providing support for clients with a variety of issues.

I work extensively in the field of Recovery from Addiction, which lends itself well to a variety of struggles that anyone can face in their life. I get to witness the transformation people are capable of achieving to help live a more fulfilling life.

Qualifications

  • MBACP (Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapists)

Working With Me

Initial Consultation

Before we can begin working together, you can reach out to me by email or by telephone. We can then arrange an initial consultation session. This will give me the opportunity to find out more about you, your background and your current struggles so I can see if I can help you. This first session also gives you the chance to ask any questions about therapy you may have so you feel comfortable and confident should we decide to work together. At the end of this first session, we can decide if we are a good therapeutic fit and book in your next session if necessary.

Integrative Therapy

I offer an integrative approach drawing from various modalities to ensure I find an effective method for each client. This means that your therapeutic pathway is unique to you and your experiences; I tailor my approach to your specific needs and goals.

I use the person-centred approach to create a space for clients to experience their feelings without judgement, the psychodynamic approach to help clients to understand how the past influences the present. I may also use Gestalt as a more creative and free method of therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help explore the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviour. This can, with greater insight, offer relief from the symptoms that trouble you. This is especially helpful in areas such as anxiety and struggles with making the changes you want in your life.

Online Therapy

I can work with clients from across the UK using an online video platform like Zoom. Online therapy can offer a variety of benefits to clients. It provides a flexible and convenient way to access support from anywhere with an internet connection, making it more convenient for you as you don’t have to worry about travel time or other logistical challenges. Online therapy can also be particularly helpful if you have mobility issues or you live in a remote area where in-person therapy is not readily available.

Telephone Therapy

Telephone, like online therapy, can provide you with a convenient and flexible way to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own home or preferred location. This means that you can easily fit sessions into your schedule. It allows you to communicate with a trained professional in a way that feels safe and comfortable for you. You may feel self conscious or uncomfortable with sharing your feelings, which may be easier over the telephone.

Cancellation Policy

Note that if you want to cancel an appointment I would like 48 hours' notice to avoid being charged in full for the session missed.
